Congratulations!!! Advocacy Outreach would like to congratulate Clara Beth Godkin for receiving her Early Childhood Development Teacher’s Certificate with Scholastic Leadership Honors from Austin Community College on May 8, 2014.

Ms. Godkin has been a part of the Eanes School District for the past 9 years.  She works with pre-K students and is one of the favored teachers each year. 

Clara started working for Advocacy Outreach’s Summer Program for school aged children in 2009.  Each summer she comes back to the AO Summer Program with strong ideas for summer activities for the children and a genuine enthusiasm to teach as well as become a role model for the school aged children. Could it be her bright red hair, or her brilliant smile which attracts children to her side?  No matter the reason, children really like and respond to Ms. Clara and her teaching style.

Clara saw the need to further develop her career choice in Early Childhood Development and started going to school at ACC during the evenings after work.  She has gained quite a bit of knowledge concerning children and their learning and developmental potentials.  She uses this knowledge to assist children during the school year as well as in the summer program.

Congratulations Ms. Clara on your scholastic achievements.  AO looks forward to another summer program with Ms. Clara returning to help and teach children of all ages.
